Klaipėda
Lately, I’ve been experiencing a lot of cool things in Lithuania and I always catch myself and my friends saying: ‘wow, it feels like we’re abroad! It feels like it’s not Lithuania…’.
Really? Haha. What can I say… We are not used to seeing nice and exciting stuff here, at home. We are not used to great food in restaurants and pleasant view through the window. But now everything has been changing so fast and we finally begin to have these really nice and exciting experiences right here! 🙂
And why did I decide to write this post [you might ask] ??? Well, yesterday there was a celebration in my hometown Klaipėda. It was an event called ‘The Day of Music in Streets’ and in the evening there were fireworks and parade of small ships, yachts and boats. Everything we saw was really cool and beautiful!
During the night, there were a lot of small ships floating in the water, there were lots of lights and the weather was great. And then again… I heard myself saying to my brother: ‘It feels like it’s not Lithuania…’ And we laughed. And we knew exactly what I meant. I t d o e s n ‘ t m a t t e r w h e r e y o u a r e t o f e e l l i k e y o u ‘ r e o n h o l i d a y . You only need yourself. And a right attitude.
[And here are few pictures taken from a FB page ‘We love Lithuania’. I really adore them :3.. and also… It sometimes looks like it’s not Li… :DD haha. You know the ending already.]
such a nice post!! feels like a non-lithuanian writes this blog, hahahahaha
